¿Lógico o ilógico? - Using negative words.
Please check my answers for the following assignment. My answers are in bold.
This is a listening activity, so I have written down the sentences as best as I could. Also, if I get one wrong, explanations would be great. As a fluent English speaker, it sounds funny to hear double negatives in Spanish. I will give my best explanation for my answers at the end.
- ¿Con quién vas a ir al centro comercial? Tampoco voy a ir al centro comercial.
- ¿Qué te probaste en la tienda? No me probé nada.
- ¿Vas al mercado central mucho? No nunca voy al mercado central.
- ¿Viste algo que te gustó? No, nadie.
- ¿Prefieres estos zapatos o las botas? No prefiero ni zapatos ni las botas.
- ¿Te gusta algún abrigo? No me gusta nadie.
- ¿Cuándo vas a llevar esta chaqueta? No me la voy a poner nunca jamás.
- ¿Me compraste algún regalo? Sí, te compré algo.
1) ilógico Tampoco means neither or not either. Correct response: No, nadie voy a ir al centro comercial.
2) lógico
3) lógico
4) ilógico Nadie referes to a person - No one; nobody; not anyone. However, the question is not asking about a person. Correct response: No, nada.
5) lógico
6) ilógico Again, nadie refers to a person but the question was not asking about a person, it is asking about a coat. Correct response: No, me gusta ningún (or nada?).
7) lógico
8) lógico

I agree with Bosquederoble´s comments on the first two.
On #5 your logic is correct, but because the question asks about specific shoes (estos), the answer should be: los zapatos.
On #6 your illogic is correct, but your answer must be ninguno. To say ningún, you must say ningún abrigo - it can´t be spoken alone. And to say nada would not make sense.
The rest of your logics and illogics are correct.
For clarification: We are asked to decide if the response to the question is logical or illogical. Person 1 asks a question, Person 2 answers it. For this particular assignment, I believe it revolves around the correct usage of Negative words.
