Hi Friends, I have come to SD today after a long time,, how are you guyz doing ? Hope every one is doing well .. I just wanted to ask a little question ... which is .. that how do we say "to throw a tantrum" in Spanish .. I have researched and looked around on the net and found the following :

  1. agarrarse una rabieta.
  2. hacer un berrinche.
  3. coger un berrinche,
  4. llevarse un berrinche.

Besides the aforementioned phrases I have also found two verbs of expressing a tantrum .. which are as follows ..

1, emberrincharse. 2. enrabietarse..

Agarrar una rabieta is a good alternative to "coger" una rabieta, since "coger" es una palabra mala en Mexico.

(note: it's hard to beat Nuestra primera dama at this.)

that's helpful because I am aware that using coger can be risky because of its alternative meaning. I recently saw coger used in that way in a recent issue of People en espanol. - Sassette, May 9, 2015

Even though she's an adult, she still has temper tantrums when she doesn't get her way.
