Accents on Commands
Hi, I tried asking this question in another post but for some reason I can't access that post.
Does anyone know of a rule or tip(s) for putting accents on affirmative commands with pronouns? I read somewhere that if the command (with pronouns) has 3 or more syllables, you count back and place an accent on the third syllable. Is this right? I know that I should look at the command before adding pronouns and see where the stress is and place the accent there, but sometimes I'm not sure where the stress is. Thanks!

Your counting back method seems confusing, so just remember that a command will always be emphasized on the verb itself.
Hazlo .... do it
Házmelo .... do it for me
Háztemelo .... do it to/for yourself for me
Also note that a personal pronoun in a similar phrase doesn´t necessarily mean to/for a person, but that a person is affected by the action.
