In Chilangolandia (México DF) it´s common to use words that can be easily confused with others, just as Daniela confused Peine with Pene. It´s easy to do. Also keep in mind that many expressions, such as those used in the wordreference example, use words from Nahuatl, the native language of southern Mexico of which various tribes including Aztecs, Toltecas, Chichimecas all spoke. IE: Escuincle in Nahuatl means a small dog, but in common slang in Mexico DF it means a brat kid, toe rag, etc
