Lots of audio with simultaneous text in Spanish and English.
There are a variety of different resources that are available online for students of Spanish depending on your level of comprehension of spoken Spanish.. these include:
1.BBC language website. Suitable for beginners and intermediate level students. Spanish, French, Italian and other languages covered I do not know how often these resources are updated! ![]()
2.Yabla (formerly Lomás TV) Not designed for complete beginners! This site provides resources covering a wide range of languages Yabla Spanish, Yabla French, Yabla Italian etc... some free sample resources availsble eg short videos but subscription is required to access most resources at a small price fairly good value for money. The videos are created by native speakers and you can use or block subtitles in English and/or text in the language you are learning eg Spanish!
3.Please check-out this website: www.aprender.español.org. This website offers educational videos eg Lola and Anna is a good comedy which follows the life of two girls who share an apartment in Spain and their comical adventures!I personally love this one!
4.Cuentos para niños. Traditional tales like Cinderella, Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretal etc. My recommendation:
Intermediate level B1(European Common framework) and above, although it is possible some proficient advanced beginner students A2 might gain some benefits from listening to these stories. Useful tool for adults and children..you can simply listen to the stories or read along with them! ![]()
5.The news in slow Spanish.
I hope this helps ![]()
I like News in Slow Spanish. As the name implies, they do the news slowly so you can get used to the sounds and alternate words. Depending on the level at which you subscribe, you can get written transcripts as well, and even grammar lessons.
Also, if you have satellite radio, there are some very good Latino stations.
Good luck!
