I think that the literally meaning of the sentence is:

(Ella) No ha respondido aún

I choose this translation because it means that she did not answer yet but you are still waiting.

In South America and in the north west of Spain (Galicia and León) it is common to replace the "preterito perfecto (compuesto)" tense with the "preterito perfecto simple". I think that doing this replacement you are lossing information about the action of the verb, because we use the "preterito perfecto (compuesto)" when the action is really recent, and the "preterito perfecto simple" when the action was done more time ago.

I work with people from León and this change have caused a lot of missunderstandings because sometimes we lose the time reference in the sentence.

In fact, when we learn Spanish at the school this is considered as a mistake, but probably Latin Spanish speakers don't agree with it XD.

Hello Ricanboy smile

I would have said:

(Ella) Todavia no ha respondido... o

(Ella) Todavia no ha contestado ....

I am not a native Spanish speaker but I am learning Castellano (The Spanish spoken in mainland Spain) with a native from Spain. I have been taught to use both forms of the past indicative tenses: pretérito perfecto simple de indicativo y pretérito perfecto compuesto de indicativo, which both have their strengths and weaknesses; as in the past I have received lessons from.natives from.South America, eg Columbia..too! smile

I hope this helps smile

I think that todavía is normally used at the beginning of sentences - e.g. todavía no ha contestado - BailaBailaBaila, Apr 17, 2015
De acuerdo. - Daniela2041, Apr 18, 2015
Okay, thank you Daniela and Baila, Spanish is often very flexible about word order so I thought that you could place todavia either at the beginning or at the end of a sentence but it seems that I am wrong/mistaken! - FELIZ77, Apr 18, 2015
