Very funny, Jubilado. Thanks for the joke. :) - sanlee, Apr 8, 2015
Love it!! - Winkfish, Apr 8, 2015
Jubilado I have already started writing jokes and you didn't join to it. Not nice - porcupine7, Apr 8, 2015
Porcupine, I think that Jubilado did not want to take over your thread and it would have made your thread much longer than necessary! I also think that the Moderators might have asked him to open a new thread for his joke because he wanted other people - FELIZ77, Apr 8, 2015
to respond to his joke! Your thread was not designed was not created for that level of interaction and so I guess that Jubilado was being respectful by not taking over (hijacking) your thread! :) - FELIZ77, Apr 8, 2015
I didn't see porcupine's post and have sent her a P. M. apology. - Jubilado, Apr 8, 2015
I am pleased about that, Jubilado .Thank you and We'll done! We cannot afford to allow any bad feelings to develop which could affect our lovely community spirit :) - FELIZ77, Apr 8, 2015
@Feliz The mods do not ask members to open threads. - rac1, Apr 8, 2015
I would like to mention that porcu's joke thread has a "best answer" so most of us will think it has been "finished". - ian-hill, Apr 8, 2015
I am not a very good joke person. Many time the joke doesn't have the same translation or the translation doesn't have the same impact.. I found easier to translate a joke that is already written. - jemamu, Apr 9, 2015
I am not offended at all Jubilado, I was pulling your leg. But I should like to continue the jokes either here or there. - porcupine7, Apr 9, 2015
Let's keep both threads going. They are different in nature. They are actually both very helpful. - rac1, Apr 9, 2015

Original:

  1. A woman goes to a medical consult where she was seen by a much younger doctor.

Corrected:

1.A woman goes to a doctor's office where she was seen by a much younger doctor.

Thanks, Jubilado smile

Ir a consultar con el médico is said very often in English: To go to the Doctor's office. - Jubilado, Apr 8, 2015
Thanks Jubilado! I will fix it. - sanlee, Apr 9, 2015

The site would not let me write "2" - Winkfish, Apr 8, 2015
I have fixed that for uou, Wink :) - FELIZ77, Apr 8, 2015
For future reference the problem is caused by leaving too big a space between numbers and the the first word. The should be no extra unnecessary spaces: 2.After etc. - FELIZ77, Apr 8, 2015
I mean, There should be no extra spaces etc... (formatting problem!) I hope this helps :) - FELIZ77, Apr 8, 2015
Good translation :) gritando can also mean shouting but the word 'screaming' is probably better as it is more dramatic and gives the impression that she is more upset! ;) - FELIZ77, Apr 8, 2015
Gracias, Feliz!! - Winkfish, Apr 8, 2015
You are welcome, Wink :) - FELIZ77, Apr 8, 2015

An older doctor asked her, what was her problem? And she told him her story.

Jubilado, should the word not be historia clínica = medical history?

Feliz, in this case it is like "cuento" but would not be use with contar because of redundancy. - Jubilado, Apr 8, 2015
By redundancy , am I right in understanding you mean it would not be necessary? - FELIZ77, Apr 8, 2015
Feliz, you could certainly use cuento here instead of historia, but it sounded redundant to me. The second doctor just wanted her to tell him what happened. - Jubilado, Apr 8, 2015

The oldest doctor left by the hallway and went to the younger doctor who was writing a medical record on his clipboard.

Just to keep the translations going:

4 Después de escucharla, le pidió que se sentara para relajarse en otro cuarto.

After listening to her he asked her to sit down and relax in another room.

A priest in the Serengeti begins to pray at the time when a lion attacks him:

  • Please Lord, make this lion Christian!

When the lion stops, kneels, joins his front legs and prays

  • "Lord, bless these foods...

To finish it:

The younger doctor continued writing and without lifting his gaze said, "Does she still have hiccups?"

I am going to remember this joke, it is a good one. :) - bosquederoble, Apr 10, 2015
Thanks, bosque. This was fun. Why don't you encourage porcupine to open another "Chistes" thread? Right now I can't participate as much as I have. - Jubilado, Apr 10, 2015
Thank you for the opportunity and the joke. I think her joke thread is still open, I haven't had a chance to add one, it takes a while to pick and write one. :) - bosquederoble, Apr 10, 2015
I have missed having you around. I really enjoy your participation. :) - bosquederoble, Apr 10, 2015

Keeping it going:

Mrs. Terry is a 71 year old woman who has four grown children and seven grandchildren and you told her that she's pregnant?!

Someone, go for the punch line!
