Do you have more information- which ones, where, etc. ? - bosquederoble, Apr 2, 2015
Welcome to SpanishDict. Sorry you were having trouble. Did you see Bosque's answer below? - rac1, Apr 2, 2015

I believe that this is the quiz:

http://www.spanishdict.com/topics/practice/16

I did two or three- gave the right answer, got it wrong, until I realized it requires punctuation- the period at the end. Did you put a period. I get them right if I punctuate them. That means full proper punctuation including ¿ and ¡ when needed.

Yes, for example Question 2 in the quiz : My answer was La leo.

Oops! Wrong answer. "La" is the direct object pronoun for 3rd person singular feminine; it is placed before a conjugated verb. Correct answer: La leo.

Thank you for your help

I note also that when attaching the DOP to the verb, some of the verbs require an accent over the first 'O'. EG Compra/Cómpralas; Coma/Cómalo. Is there a rule for this ? I dind't know about it and hence my answer was incorrect.

Also, does anyone know how to place a capital E with an accent to begin a sentence. I tried a combination of keys but it appears only lower case is catered for. In the end I copied and pasted the accented capital E from the question. A lower case é to begin a sentence is marked incorrect.

Thank you in advance.

The tilde is necessary to keep the same syllable stressed, otherwise the additional syllable would make the stress fall somewhere else. Capital letters with tilde are a bit of a pain, I normally paste them from somewhere else (Word in my case). - Manity, Apr 2, 2015
I use the american international keyboard rather than the standard american keyboard, and it allows me to type anything but the inverted exclamation. :) - bosquederoble, Apr 2, 2015
Thank you very much. I will try changing the keyboard . - Mozzie, Apr 2, 2015
It does change the way the ' and '' keys work, as that is how you get the tildes, except ñ which uses alt, but you get used to it. :) - bosquederoble, Apr 2, 2015

@ Mozzie and @ Manity And @ All others:

In order to more easily type Spanish characters like ¡ ¿ é É ü etc., look at this link. If you are able to use Vikingo's program, its a piece of cake. If not, there are instructions for setting your keyboard for foreign characters.

Here is the link ---> Foreign Language Characters
