"No le gustaba el libro, por eso, él lo hizo trizas" como traducción de "He did not like the book, so, he tore it into shreds"?

Thanks, Ray - sorry for lack of clarity. I would like to know if the Spanish sentence I quoted is an accurate translation of the English.. - mocleirigh, Mar 31, 2015
OK mate it looks great to me , but wait for a native to give it the once over. ;) - ray76, Mar 31, 2015
I would say: "No le gustó el libro..." instead of "No le gustaba..." - LuisCache, Mar 31, 2015
Gracias, Luis, I understand the point you make. - mocleirigh, Apr 2, 2015

It's alright, but I'd rather say: "A él no le gustaba el libro, por eso lo hizo trizas" I would put necessary the first "él" because I need to know who didn't like the book, and ignore the second "él", because I suppose it's him the one who tore it into shreds, unless it was a different person, let's say his girlfriend. "A él no le gustaba el libro, por eso ella lo hizo trizas.
