"Sounded again"

"Sounded again"

Hola. I want to say: She heard a piano and went to see where the noise was coming from. The piano sounded again.

My attempt: Ella oí un piano y fue a ver de dónde venía el ruido. El piano volvió a sonar.

Does this make sense? I am unsure when and how to use "volver" to mean "again" but it's the only way I can think of expressing this in Spanish.

Muchas gracias.

El piano sonaba de nuevo. is a way of saying - The piano sounded again. - ian-hill, Mar 21, 2015

Your attempt is correct, but oír needs to be conjugated for ella : oyó.

Ian´s variant is good too, but I would say sonar in preterite sonó.
