Welcome to the forum. Can you indicate your language level in English and Spanish? For example I don't know if you are a Spanish speaker writing in English about a Spanish product to see if we know what youare talking about. There is a very popular brand of soft drink made with soda and now in many different flavours of fruit, called 'Jarritos' produced in Mexico but sold outside of Mexico too.
Jarra is something to carry beer, milk or juice a type of jug or pitcher. 'ito' is something you add to a word to suggest it is a small version so I assume that is how the soda drink got its name. However, I am not a native speaker.
It helps if you can explain where you saw or heard the word.
Jarro = pitcher Jarrito = mug
ito is a diminuitive (sp?)
I should also add that it is the name trademark registered of a brand of Mexican soft drink. The Piña flavor is excellent.
From Wikipedia:
The word jarrito means "little jug" in Spanish and refers to the Mexican tradition of drinking water and other drinks in clay pottery jugs.
Is the name of a mexican restaurant.
