Hello Birnita smile

Welcome to the SpanishDict forum smile

This would meet or fulfil the requirement would sound much better, in my view smile unless you have to use either suffice or would suffice but neither of your suggested sentences sound natural to my ears as a native English speaker!

You could use the word suffice in his way:

ex1: Three eggs will suffice / be sufficent

Two eggs would suffice if we were going to make an omelette, but we will need at least 4 eggs to make this cake!

My answer is based on British English grammar; people living in The United States may allow such constructions as you have used.

I hope this helps smile

'Suffice' if one of those words that people don't really use in normal English except if they want to sound more intelligent or important.

The most natural way to say 'will suffice' is 'will be enough', or even simply 'is/are enough'.

Feliz's examples above are excellent for the context you mean.

Suffice it to say that "Suffice it to say" - is a standard expression in normal everyday English amigo. - ian-hill, Mar 16, 2015
Yes, but it's a set colloquialism like 'much of a muchness' or 'trials and tribulations'... - Faldaesque, Mar 16, 2015
My point is that the verb is pretty rare outside that context, whereas 'enough' & 'sufficient' are much more common ;-) - Faldaesque, Mar 16, 2015
Thank you very much, Falda :) - FELIZ77, Mar 16, 2015

This will satisfy the requirement.

This will meet the requirement.

This will meet or exceed the requirement. (common U.S. business usage)

This will accomplish what is needed.

This will meet the need.

This will fulfill the need.

This will fulfill the requirement.

This will do in these circumstances.

That does it. (quite colloquial) but it is used to express the same idea very informally.

That'll do (nicely). (very informal, but it is often said)

The prerequisite is satisfied with this/that.

So, if "this" has already been talked about in the conversation... what happens then?
