His car...or her car?

Él conduce su coche. He drives his car. But what if he was driving her car? How would that be written in spanish? I suppose you could say something like, Él conduce el coche de Raquel. But what if you don't know the name of the woman and just want to say her car? Any way?

Puedes decir "el coche de ella" para evitar malentendidos.

Spanish is extremely simple in this regard because it's one word for his/her & it doesn't even need to agree in gender with the noun.

Compare with English, where the possessive article agrees with the gender of the owner.

Or French, where it agrees with the gender of the possession (but not the owner, which can be confusing for English-speakers learning French).

Or German, where it must agree both with the gender of the owner AND the gender of the possession !!

Then be grateful Spanish is so much simpler in this regard grin
