I've no idea - but put "joda" into the translate function under Menu above. - ian-hill, Mar 13, 2015
Isn't this close to being extremely vulgar? If I'm guessing correctly. - Jubilado, Mar 13, 2015

I am closing this post , because the member has been asking for words on three posts which are considered borderline , i do not believe it to be learning but attempting to shock. - ray76, Mar 14, 2015

jubilado, it isn't an extremely vulgar word. Yes, it can be understood as a vulgar word, but then again bothersome and annoying would be equally vulgar, if that were the case.

Right?

Hmm, I got the unmentionable bomb-word when I plugged "jodan" into Google Translate. I could have sworn I tried that a couple of hours ago and got no translation. Has one of you guys been teaching Google? - AnnRon, Mar 14, 2015

You have spelled the word wrong, it should be jodan - not jodam, so consult a dictionary. Many dictionaries only have verb listings in infinitive, which in this case is joder. I agree with Chileno´s comment, however, I don´t recommend using this word with your parents.

Could it have been the Portuguese word "choram," which means "cry"? That single "r," if pronounced by a Spanish speaker, could sound like a "d."

¡Hola!, LaUnknown:

I looked for "Jodam" in the Spanish only "El Diccionario de la lengua española" (DRAE). Here is what I found:

La palabra jodam no está registrada en el Diccionario.
The word jodam is not registered (found) in the dictionary.

Saludos/Best regards,
Moe
