I have been working on this one for way too long. I have tried many different answers, and none are correct.

Cuando nos olvidamos de entregar la tarea a tiempo, los profesores________.

The two words i am given to fill in the blank are:

ponerse (avergonzado, irritado, nervioso, triste) reírse

I tried the present tense for each. I'm at a lost. Its the last part of a question. I got the rest of got fine, but this has me stumped. I thought it should be se ponen irritado, but that is wrong too.

Did you try:

se ponen irritados

los profesores is plural, the adjective has to be plural to match.

Maybe you forgot or didn't think of putting those adjectives that you listed after "ponerse" in the plural. I believe that the correct answer would be "se ponen irritados" with the adjective "irritado" in the plural, because the noun "profesores" is in the plural as well. Hope I helped you with your question.

If ponerse is correct could it be a simple case of using a singular adjective instead of a plural one?

Se ponen irritadoS?
