And choose a verb from the following which matches I paid it, not I pay it.

Person Present Preterite
yo pago pagué
pagas pagaste
él/ella/Ud. paga pagó
nosotros pagamos pagamos
vosotros pagáis pagasteis
ellos/ellas/Uds. pagan pagaron

I wish I knew how to make something where all the columns line up in one of these answers, whatever you do on word, it is lost when you transfer over. - bosquederoble, Mar 11, 2015

Ok so you want to say, yes I paid 'it'.

'It'being the direct object and refering to 'la multa' (the fine).

La multa is singular and feminine so you just need to pick the direct object pronoun that is also singular and feminine and can also mean 'it'.

Your choices are ...

me (me)

te (you-familiar)

lo (him, it, you-formal)

la (her, it, you-formal)

nos (us)

os (you-all-familiar)

los. (Them, you-all-formal)

las (them, you-all-formal)

Give it a whirl. smile
