Welcome to the forum Señora/Señorita Nicki!

Literal translation? Please feel free to laugh, it pretty much means to "Want a man". I'm unsure of whether or not there are implications behind that, but this is what the literal translation means.

Questions like this can normally be plugged into our translator, which will do its best to give you an excellent English or Spanish translation.

Please fill out your profile information (we just ask for Gender and language proficiency). It helps us tremendously!

Thank you!

Hah, just had an epiphany with "Quiero un hombre." vs. "Quiero a un hombre." What a difference this little personal "a" makes sometimes! :) - Manity, Mar 9, 2015
Oh dear... :) :) :) - 00ffada9, Mar 9, 2015
For anyone who does not understand the comment by Manity- it is the difference between I like a certain (specific) man and I want a man, any one will do. ;) - bosquederoble, Mar 9, 2015
Exactly as Manity says. - annierats, Mar 9, 2015
So which means which? - Winkfish, Mar 9, 2015
The personal a makes it a specific man, no personal a leaves it unpersonalized- any man. - bosquederoble, Mar 9, 2015
Not something you want to mess up on, especially not to a recently engaged spouse :) - 00ffada9, Mar 10, 2015

As Manity says, it means you want a man. Any man will do.
