Kiss In Spanish
Both beso and pico mean "kiss". There is suppose to be a difference. Does anyone know what the difference is?

Un beso es más fuerte.
pico = peck
beso = kiss
Here in Ecuador they use "pico" like peck, but it's not necessarily on the cheek. You can give someone a quick "pico" on the lips. And the beso is like an umbrella term; so a "pico" is a type of "beso."
Not one I have heard before, but I think Ray might be correct. A peck vs a real kiss.

Dame un beso esteban. I am not a native speaker but I think it is more like an insect sting "picadura" but , it could well be a dialect for a light kiss , "A peck on the cheek" as we say in English .
