Description of walking
How would you describe 'slipping and sliding on a very muddy path'

What happened to me when I walked to work yesterday on very muddy path is described below. I wanted particularly to say that the path was very muddy and I slipping and sliding all the way (and this was very tiring).
Any help would be appreciated.
Or similar. There are many ways you could say this.
A couple of suggestions to get you started might be ...
Había llovido = it had rained
La noche anterior = the previous night
Había mucho lodo = there was a lot of mud
For the next part be aware of the difference between the Preterite and the imperfect to describe past action. Your English version uses the imperfect 'was slipping' whereas you have translated it into Spanish with the Preterite 'I slipped). Personally, given that you have started the account in the Preterite I would stick with it. The imperfect is definitely an option but would fit better if you began your story by saying that you were walking to work.
So resbalé (I slipped) or resbalaba (I was slipping)
Me deslicé (I slid), me deslizaba (I was sliding).
Fue agotado/cansado/fatigoso. ![]()
I think the verbs to use would be resbalar y deslizarse.
Maybe this will help you get started.
PS. I've also seen 'resbalando y patinando' for 'slipping and sliding'.
