Welcome to SpanishDict. The use of proper capitalization and punctuation are required here at SD. - rac1, Jan 28, 2015

Use present indicative when present subjunctive is not necessary.

Yes, that explains it all, really, especially if it isnot in the past, the future or a sort of conditional dream. - annierats, Jan 28, 2015
What if the questioner has never heard of the subjunctive? - Daniela2041, Jan 28, 2015

You use it in the same manner and for the same reason you do in English. There are also several more uses in Spanish, but you'll get these in time.

It's called the "present indicative" tense. You use it to say what happens, what is happening now, and some cases what is going to happen.

Example of the latter.

Mañana salimos para España. Tomorrow we are leaving for Spain.
