La hemos amado (a ella) = we have loved her
La amamos (a ella) = we loved her
La amábamos (a ella) = we loved her (as in "we used to love her")
La quisimos tanto.
( I've seen this in novels , usually the beloved woman has died, hence the preterite.' La quise tanto' is also the title of a film, I believe).
You never know without context but unless this was something like a Menage a Trois, it was probably not romance, so I would say: La queríamos.
Like most sentences, how you say "we loved her" depends a lot on context. There are 2 things you want to look for here: the aspect (whether the verb is in imperfect, preterit, or perfect) and the proper verb (querer vs amar).
First: Querer vs. Amar
"Querer" means "love" and you can say to anyone "te quiero" to mean "I love you". It's the generic word to mean "love".
"Amar" means "love", but it implies a deeper connection. So like a close family member or a wife. In some countries, it's used exclusively for romance. I'm going to assume you want to mean "amar", but if not then just adjust the verb.
Secondly, picking the proper aspect:
If you want to describe a scenario by saying "we loved her", you would say "la amábamos". For example, if you telling a story and said "Those were the days. We loved her, and she loved us back". You could say "Esos eran buenos tiempos. La amábamos, y nos amaba también".
If you were describing an event in a story and emphasized its completion, you'd say "la amamos". I don't think I've ever heard "amar" used this way (in the preterit), but It would be awesome if a native speaker chimed in with an example.
