A link between Europe and Africa, Spain is...

Hello there, I wanted to find the word for 'link' in reference to an area linking two countries together. In the Spanish Dictionary, I found there to be two words - lazo and vínculo.

However, I want to write about Spain linking the two areas above, so I thought it would work like this:

Un lazo entre Europa & África, España es una última morada para aves migratorias.

However, lazo is used in its masculine form, and España is a feminine noun (una España), so what would would correct, una laza or un lazo as above?

Thanks,
thatahmad.

"Lazo" is always a masculine word. I don't think "laza" exists...

By the way, I don't know if I'd use "lazo" in that sentence. I'd say "puente".

I would use:

"Un vinculo Europa & África: España la última morada para aves migratorias."

That sounds nice!!

No sería ---Un vínculo "entre" Europa y Africa--- un poco mejor? - Daniela2041, Jan 19, 2015
Y con una coma después de "España", mucho mejor. - Cordobesa, Jan 19, 2015
