I concur with bosque and Daniela, but remember that this is the reflexive so it isn't only se for them

quererse - to love oneself

se quiere = he/she loves him/herself

se quieren - they love/want themselves

se quieren - you love yourself (plural)

wink

hmmm. the diff is:

se quieran = you/they want/lve your/themselves

los quieran = they love/want you (plural)

"Se quieren"

They love each other.

In my textbook this is called the "reciprocal reflexive"

"Los quieren" "They(one group of people) love them" (somebody else)

Context is of course critical. These are conjugated to the present subjunctive so I will use would in the English, but I might choose some other way depending on context.

Quererse usually means love one another. Se quieran would be they (or ustedes) would love one another.

Los quieran- they (or ustedes) would want them (whatever los refers to) or they (or ustedes) would love them (whoever los refers to).

These are only what I think of as the most likely interpretation; in the right context something else could be implied.

But either way, se indicates that it is reciprocal between the persons that are the subject, the los indicates that it is someone/something (in the plural) other than who the verb is conjugated to.
