Why is "se" used in this sentence?

Todo lo que le pido es que no se lleve a mi hija.

Would it be incorrect without the "se"?

It sounds like someone is saying " The only thing I ask is that he/she/somebody(?) doesn't take my daughter away. The "se" is referring back to the person who may take the daughter away (for himself).
