Can 'pasar' be used to refer to someone's death? Is it the same saying like in English? For example, in English se puede decir, "He passed away," en vez de "He died."

A veces decimos "ha pasado a mejor vida". :) - Cordobesa, Dec 15, 2014
While fallecer is more common, pasar can be used. Just as in English there are many ways to express this fact. - gringojrf, Dec 15, 2014

Good question.... Well I am not really sure but I don't think so,, well actually the Spanish equivalent of the English expression "to pass away" is the verb "fallecer" ..

For example ..

When I pass away I will sure go to heaven..

Al fallecer voy a ir al paraiso por supuesto..
