Wheel alignment :)
Hi Amigos,
I was wondering how to say "wheel alignment" in Spanish ..
Wheel is "la rueda" (also the word of the day today) or la llanta ,, and alignment is "la alineacíon" í... so do we say something like "la alineacíon de ruedas" or is there some special word for it ??
If I have to say : "I am taking my car to the workshop(garage) to get the alignment checked...
is this the right way to say it in Spanish ??
Me estoy llevando el coche al taller para que se comprobe la alineacion.. does's it make sense ??

In most cases there is enough context that simply alineación is sufficient, but as Chileno notes, the rear wheels on some cars are adjustable as well, so for clarity you can say. Alineación direccional / alineación del sistema direccional to indicate front wheel alignment only.
Estoy llevando/llevo el auto al taller para revisarle la alineación/el alineamiento de ruedas.
Now, I have to warn you that in English "wheel alignment" and "front wheel alignment" is different.
So, this is more homework for you.

Edit.
At least here in the US, I don;t recall how's called in Chile.
Wheel alignment = when you change your tires, each tire has to be "balanced" and they call that wheel alignment. = balance de llantas/neumáticos
Front wheel alignment = Alineación/alineamiento del tren delantero
Would that be enough? else we are going to need a mechanic here... ![]()
