This post is Just for the fun of finding ways to use a word or a phrase, and expand vocabulary.
I hope you will try it.
Here is a word that we can have some fun with. It is a common word but has some additional uses.
Learners use any resource you wish to make your phrase. Post in English and Spanish Native speakers will know this immediately so please wait a bit for us learners to post.
The word is "Mano" it has many uses. not limited only to the literal. It can be "to give a hand", or to "put a coat of something".
Here is my example:
La escalera tiene cinco manos de barniz.
The stairway has five coats of varnish.
Otro:
Este gabinete es pesado, échame una mano para moverlo.
The cabinet is heavy, give me a hand to move it.
You can find this word in RAE or WR or many other resources.This should be good

En México es muy común entre cuates oír algo como: ¿Qué húbole mano? ("mano" significa "hermano" así como "compañero")
In Mexico it´s very common among friends to hear something like: What´s been going on bro? ("bro" meaning "brother" as in "companion")
