Where to put the subject

Where to put the subject

Okay, my question today has to do with the subject. Where do you have to put it or is it always flexible? For example:

When asking questions in Spanish: Is it okay to say "¿Comes tú?" AND "¿Tú comes?," or is one gramatically incorrect?

When making a declarative statement: Is it okay to say "Ella come la fruta" AND "Come ella la fruta," or is one grammatically incorrect?

¡Ayudame por favor!

Your first example is not really a matter of subject placement but of personal pronoun placement. It´s not necessary except in cases of emphasis, so if you want to highlight from other people the person you are talking to you can say: "¿Comes tú?" Otherwise simply: "¿Comes?"

In your second example we can use either structure, again it´s a matter of emphasis with "Come ella la fruta" emphasizing "ella".
