I want to say: "She creates an affective (rhetorical term) emotional link between herself and the workers, and associates those feelings of frustration and sadness with the date, because it was the day the General was detained."

Is this the best possible way to say this?

"Her interests and the workers interested are the same"

Hola, dyruse,

I don't know at what level you speak Spanish. If you have any problem with understanding what I have said, feel free to send a PM.

Chau, y buena suerte.

Daniela, wouldn't it be "los mismos" since "interests" is plural? - Winkfish, Dec 3, 2014
Well, this is in the middle of my essay after I analyzed a quotation... sorry it's so out of context! I believe 'as such' fits for my context. Thank you for the rest of the comments though! Very helpful. - dyruse, Dec 4, 2014
I used "lo mismo" to mean "the same thing" I could be wrong there. - Daniela2041, Dec 4, 2014

Dyruse, I can't speak to much of what you have in Spanish, and Daniela is a great teacher here. I do believe, though, that "effective" is the English word you want rather than "affective." So I would suggest "efectivo" instead of "afectivo."

hi! i actually did mean affective. In terms of 'affect' in the rhetorical sense. - dyruse, Dec 4, 2014
As Rosana Rosana Dana would say, "Oh. Well. That's different. Never mind!" - Winkfish, Dec 4, 2014
