Error in English to Spanish "meet"

Question

1. conocer (become acquainted with)

   meet Mr Jones le presento al señor Jones have you met my husomebodyand? ¿conoces a mi marido?

The english "husband" has "somebody" embedded in the middle.

Yes, what a mess/muddle!

Conocer to know (become acquainted with) a person or to know a place

Meet Mr Jones = Le presento al señor Jones

Have you met my husband? = ¿Conoces a mi marido?

The word husband seems to have the word "somebody and" erroneously placed in the middle of it

Thank you for bringing this mistake to our attention but where exactly did you see this mistake please, bobeero? Was it in a post written by one of our members or was it in one of the official lesson eg the grammar section?

If it was in an official document such as the grammar section, I would suggest that you send a feedback form to Stuart or Martha or one of our management team who will be able to deal with it!

Si. Es un error. Mejor ha estaba "you met my husband"

Did you meet my husband? Have you and my husband met before , well, where when and how , and who instigated the meeting ?I bet it was him 'the mongrel'. - ray76, Dec 1, 2014
