I'm listening to podcasts to help improve my Spanish. Any suggestions on where I can find some good Latin American or Mexican Spanish advanced or upper intermediate podcasts? Most of what I have found is from Spain. Thank you.

Escucho podcasts para mejorar mi español. ¿Algunas sugerencias para podcasts de español latinoamericano o mexicano de nivel avanzado o intermedio? La mayoría que encuentro es de España. Gracias.

You might enjoy Pregúntale a Mónica. Mónica is Mexican psychologist. People write in with their problems, and she responds. I also like Radio Ambulante though sometimes the podcasts are in English. It's produced in the United States and is kind of like This American Life. I used to listen to Science Friday in Español, but it's been discontinued. However, you can still listen to the old episodes.

Hope this helps!

If you are interested in history of the world and of Latin America you could listen to the podcasts of Diana Uribe from Colombia live every Sunday at 10: 30AM , or later to the recorded programs. La Historia del Mundo de Caracol Radio. <www.stitcher.com/podcast/caracol-radio-rss-de-la-historia-del-mundo>

La Hora Nacional - From Mexico, broadcasts every Sunday night and you can download the episodes. They also have a huge archive. The show is about the economy, gastronomy, history, music, etc, etc of Mexico. I find it really interesting.

Veinte Mundos

This site has dozens of articles (podcasts) and matching PDF's so you can read along as you listen. The articles are about the culture, history, food, people and more of the Spanish speaking world. Most of the articles even include references to videos that provide supplemental information. It's more for intermediate and advanced speakers as the materials are 100% Spanish. Also free.
