Va muy bien OR van muy bien

Take these two sentences.

Para perder el miedo a hablar, va muy bien salir con nativos.

Y también van muy bien los intercambios.

I took these sentence from my Spanish book. Could someone please explain the difference and why they used "van" in the second sentence.

Thanks.

SORRY PLEASE IGNORE THIS Question. I FIGURED IT OUT.

Van muy bien los intercambios ....... plural agreement.

However, the expression va (muy) bien is normally used for current actions rather than actions that could or will take place. Normally, ie: ¿Cómo te va el día de hoy? ... Me va muy bien.

The usage in your book sounds a little strange to me.
