Hello, I was wondering if it is correct to say "acabo de comer la cena", or "acabo de la cena" and whether or not the definite article is even necessary? Thanks RW

acabo de cenar. After acabo de use the infinitive of the second verb.

I think your first sentence is technically correct although it is not a common way of saying this.

I think it would sound strange as cenar is a verb its self you could say "Acabo de cenar" to mean that you have just had dinner.
