I'm having trouble with double object pronouns. This activity wants me to answer the questions using double object pronouns. I'm not sure what to put for them and sometimes your supposed to conjugate the verb but others you keep the same as the question. Here are the questions and my attempts... Thanks for any help. Q:¿A quiénes les escribiste las cartas? (a ellos) My A:Se las escribiste a ellos. Q:¿Quién le recomendó ese plato? (su tío) My A:Su tìo se lo recomendó. Q:¿Quién nos va a abrir la puerta a esta hora? (Sonia) My A:Sonia le va a abrir. Q:¿Quién les sirvió el pescado asado? (Miguel) My A:Miguel se les sirvió. Q:¿Quién te llevó los entremeses? (mis amigas) My A:Mis amigos se los llevó. Q:¿A quién le ofrece frutas Roberto? (a su familia) My A:Roberto se las a su familia.

First. The verb changes if the subject of the verb changes.

In English: If you ask someone, "To whom did you write the letters?" He is going to say: "I wrote them to them." So in this instance the verb changes (in Spanish not English) because the subject changes from you in the question to I in the answer. (Your first example in English). You didn't get the answer right, did you? (I wrote in Spanish is escribí.)

Here's an example of where the subject doesn't change in the question and the answer: "Who recommended this dish to her / him?" "His / her uncle recommended it to him / her." Look familiar?

See if you can do the rest with confidence now.
