Hey! If anyone could help me translate any of these, I would be grateful! **I've added in my best attempts.

"I was only in your house for a little while" Solo estaba en su casa por una duración corta.

"If you hadn't been so rude, I wouldn't have cried." So no había tan rudo, no haría llorado.

"I have never thanked you for this until now." Yo nunca he agradecerle hasta ahora.

"Since then, I have continued to learn French." Desde esa tiempo, he continuado aprender el francés.

"When I was in school, your kindness made a big difference." Cuando estaba en la escuela, su bondad hacía una gran diferencia.

"I am excited to attend school." Estoy emocionado asistir la escuela.

"I could finally express whichever words I was thinking of." Finalmente, podía expresar cualquieras palabras en que estoy pensando.

"I had internalized the idea that I was incompetent." He internalizado la ida que yo no era competente.

Here goes:

Sólo estuve en tu casa por un corto rato. (or duración corta) Sólo needs the accent otherwise it means "alone" If you're talking to a friend use "tu"

Sólo (estuve) preterite, not imperfect. This is used when it's por un corto rato (a short while) not a cut rat.Ja!--- It's the "por" that is the hint to use the preterite.

Your "duración" is OK too, but "corto rato" is a little more colloquial.

Si no hubieras sido tan descortés,("rudo" is in the diccionario but I don't hear it much) yo no habría llorado.

Yo nunca te he agradecido hasta ahora.

Desde ese tiempo -tiempo is masculine ( or desde aquel entonces--sounds kinda wierd, I know) he continuado a aprender el francés. (or sigo con mis estudios de francés- this is just an alternative,--not better than yours.

Cuando estaba en la escuela-----( I don't want to blow you away with alternatives so OK) the " su" bondad could be changed to "tu" bondad if you are close friends.

Estoy emocionado por asistir a la escuela.

Finalmente podía expresar cualquiera palabra (I could give you a long drawn out reason for the singular, just trust me, it sounds better( ---en que estaba pensando. (You don't want to mix tenses here.)

Last sentence: Había internalizado (I had internalized ) The rest is OK

Dani, do we really need corto with rato .. as rato in itself means a small duration of time ?? - Joydeep_Singh, Nov 22, 2014
Only if you want to make it reeeely short. Rato has no specific length. "Pasé un buen rato" "I had a good time". I could have been talking about a six month vacation. - Daniela2041, Nov 22, 2014
Ok Dani, thanks a lot :) - Joydeep_Singh, Nov 22, 2014
Thank you so much. I appreciate all your help and explanations of why certain things need to be changed/your alternatives. Thanks! - mrangan34, Nov 23, 2014

Give us your best shot on this and we will try to get the "bugs" out.

We have a montón of experts here who are always ready to help out. But remember, Spanish Dict helps those who help themselves.
