Entre enormes cajas de regalos, globos, adornos, cupcakes y macarons rosados recibimos a Adamari López.

¿Significa aquí la preposición a de, no?

No, in this case the "a" preposition means "a".

Who did you welcome between big present,.......? I welcomed to Adamari Lopez

¿A quien recibiste entre grandes cajas de .....? Recibí a Adamari Lopez

Ok?

If the sentence wouldn´t start with "Entre" you can think that you are receiving a big present ... from Adamari Lopez, but not. You are welcoming Adamari Lopez between a lot of things that look like a birthday party.

In class we like to call that one the direct-object-'a'. smile It's just a grammatical word that in some contexts and to some languages is translated along and in others is lost in translation. It's correctly used here. smile
