Please find enclosed/attached.

Hello friends,

I was just wondering how we would say "please find attached" or "please find enclosed" in Spanish while sending out a letter or an email.

For example .. On a physical paper letter.. I might need to write : "please find enclosed the report. or with an email I may need to write "please find attached the report" if there is an attachment.

I tried to use the translator and here is what I got :

  1. por favor, se adjunta el anexo

  2. Sírvase encontrar adjunto el anexo

  3. por favor encuentre encerrado el annexure

I don't think these translations are correct... I also tried looking up the previous threads on this question and found the following but there is only one reply to that question : http://www.spanishdict.com/answers/132133/how-to-say-please-find-attached..

If anyone could extend some more help I will be grateful. thanks

When I send an email with attached data, I say "Por favor mirar el (los) fichero(s) adjunto(s)". But I don´t know if this is the answer you are looking for.

Thank you amigo, but should we not say .. por favor mire (instead of mirar) ?? - Joydeep_Singh, Nov 13, 2014
The formal form "mire" is also correct but I would not use it. I prefer to use the impersonal form "mirar" because some people like the formal form and other dislike it. Using "mirar" you avoid this problem - txustaboy, Nov 13, 2014
Ok TX, thanks for the clarification :) - Joydeep_Singh, Nov 13, 2014

If I try to translate it literally it would be something like this :

Por favor encuentre el documento/informe/fichero adjunto ...

but literal word for word translations often don't make sense .. so I am not sure if this is the right way of saying it ..

Many of the English speaker in this forum use always the formal form for the second person. But in Spain is only common in conditional tense (generally to ask) or in imperative form (I say only common not only) - txustaboy, Nov 13, 2014

In formal correspondence in Mexico we would say: Favor de ver lo adjunto.

Note that ommiting "Por" from "Por favor" is very common on signs, etc, but not in spoken. "Adjunto" is only an adjective, so by using "lo" we are able to create a two-word noun of neuter gender.

In Spain they call the English " los por favores" because they say por favor endlessly. - annierats, Nov 14, 2014
