•Cañizares controla a Lorenza encerrandola en casa.

•Therefore, she directly resists the physical control of Cañizares and his emotional desires, through having sexual intercourse with a man and talking with a neighbor.

•Por eso, ella resiste el control de Cañizares y sus deseos emocionales teniendo sexo con un hombre y hablando con una vecina.

•Both men desire that their spouses love them.

•Ambos hombres desean que sus esposas los amen.
