Help with changing a verb's meaning in the preterite.
Please help with my mistakes.
Anoche nosotros supimos se divorciaron Carlos y Eva.
Tú conociste Nora clase historia. ¿no?
¿Pudieron ustedes visitar la Isla de Pascua?
Pedro quiso rompió Olivia.
Irma supo de la fiesta sorprendió.
Gustavo y Elena conocieron mi esposo fiesta de Ana.
Yolanda no pudo durmió anoche.
El señor Navarro quiso se jubiló no pudo.
Ayer yo no pude llamé tú.
Nosotros quisimos pagamos la contamos.

I have to do a great effort to understand your spanish sentences (i did not understand many of them). You have omitted all articles and prepositions.
Anoche supimos que Carlos y Eva se han divorciado.
Conociste a Nora en clase de historia. ¿no?
¿Pudisteis visitar la Isla de Pascua?
Pedro quiso rompió Olivia.(I do not know what you tried to say)
Irma supo de la fiesta sorprendió.¿¿¿??
Gustavo y Elena conocieron a mi esposo (marido) en la fiesta de Ana.
Yolanda no pudo dormir anoche.
El señor Navarro quiso se jubiló no pudo.??¿¿

Estoy de acuerdo. Casi todos no tienen sentido. Sería mucho trabajo revisar y escribir de nuevo estas frases y después dar la traducción.
I can clarify a few things. Conocer in the present means "to know" somebody or be acquainted with someone or something. Conocer in the preterite means "to meet" Ejemplo: Conozco a Pedro. I know Pedro. Lo conocií el año pasado. I MET him last year.
Saber, in the present tense means to know facts or know how to do something. Yo sé que Pedro está loco, pero no es peligroso. I know Pedro is crazy but he's not dangerous
Saber in the preterite means "to find out." Supe anoche que Luisa y Miguel se divorciaron el mes pasado. I found out last night that Luisa and Miguel got divorced last month.
Querer in the present and imperfect simply mean want or wanted ( or Love and loved in some cases) In the preterite Quise means I tried. No quise means I refused.
Puedo means "I can" "podía" is "I could or was able to. In the preterite it means "got to" as in Anoche pude cantar en el coro. Last night I got to sing in the choir.

I say totally no to this part of your explanation. In spanish the verbs means the same in past tense, present tense and all other tenses. You can use an example at your own to say what you want to say, but the grammar is over all.

You translated "conocer" as "know" in present form and as "to meet" in the past tense. What is this???? To know anything is "saber", to meet anybody is "quedar" or "conocer".

Another terrible example: querer is querer always but is a word with at least two meanings. You said that in the past means I tried:
Yo quise a mi abuela hasta el día que murio I loved my granma until the day she dies
Yo quise ir a la playa I wanted to go to the beach
NON NATIVE SPANISH SPEAKERS: The verbs in spanish mean always the same (related to their verbal tense)
Verbs don't tend to change their meaning. What you change is the time that something happened. Could you please put translation as some of the sentences don't make any sense, at least not to me.
Example: Ayer yo no pude llamé tú. Perhaps you mean: No pude llamarte ayer? I couldn't call you yesterday?
