Día de los Muertos en La Paz

Question

Anoche fuimos a una fiesta de Día de los Muertos. Hubo mucha comida, altares, y grupos bailando, pero para mí lo mejor fueron las Caterinas. Personas vistidas como muertos con caras pintadas como calaveras y ropa vieja. Hubo como treinta de estas. Trajimos la nieta. Al principio ella tenía miedo y no quiso sacar fotos con ellas, pero después un de rato ella decidió que quería verlas Por la demás de la noche, me dijo. Jim, hay otra. Quiero buscar más. Fue un noche impresionante.

Last night we went to a festival for Day of the Dead. There was a lot of food, alters, and dance groups, but for me the best was the Caterinas. People dressed like the Dead with their faces pained like skulls and dressed in old fashioned clothes. There were about thirty of them. We brought the granddaughter. At first, she was afraid and did not want to take pictures with them, but after I little while she changed her mind and wanted to see them. For the rest of the night, whe kept saying, Jim there is another, I want to look for more. It was a great night.

¡Qué buena historia! Gracias por compartir una parta de lo que hizo tu familia. Día de los muertos celebra la conexión de los vivientes y los muertos quienes aunque murieron ya disfrutan de andar de fiesta con su parientes vivientes.

What a nice story! Thanks for sharing a part of your family activities. Day of the Dead celebrates the connection of the living with the dead who although they have died still enjoy partying with their living relatives.

Como no celebramos esta fiesta en Europa fue muy interesante leer tus noticias. Aquí celebamos ' El día de todos los santos' pero no es ninguna fiesta como la de Méjico. Gracias por compartir, Gringo.
