how do I explain to someone about dia de los muertos? the face painting, altares, ofrendas etc? she doesn't understand it and is like why the skulls, face painting, etc. she isn't latina or from spain. I feel like im not getting any where. Ive explained that it came when the Aztecs were around, but she thinks (because of her culture) it should be simple/simplistic.
