When to keep the verb "ir" in its infinitive form.

So, I understand the forms of ir such as voy, vas, vamos. However, I don't understand when to keep it as is. For example, in my online homework, the following sentences required the infinitive of ir.
¿ quieres ir conmigo? (why not vas?) ¿quieres ir con nosotras? ( why not vamos?) ¿desean ir a bailar luego? ( why not van?)

This is in that way because "ir" is not the main verb of the sentence. It appears in the sentence in its infinitive form.
Some similar examples in english are:
¿ quieres ir conmigo? (why not vas?) Do you want to go with me?
¿quieres ir con nosotras? ( why not vamos?) Do you want to go with us?
