It's also a pretty big day here in New Orleans. We've always had a fairly large Latino population, and since Hurricane Katrina, it has grown a lot. All of the fun Latino cultural things have grown and become much more accessible. I love it, and it is one of the reasons I started learning Spanish.

We belong to a local nature/museum complex (here in Las Vegas, which has a large Latino community throughout). Last week we went to visit the new residents in the Butterfly Habitat and had a walk-through of the extensive desert gardens. They had all of their Halloween decorations up throughout as well as this table advertising Día de Muertos, which is this weekend.
