Are example sentences with regard to gender sometimes 'misleading' in SpanishDict?

Hi to anyone who reads this. First let me say I love SpanishDict and use it all the time. Having said that, I've noticed something that has given me pause for some time now. Here's what I mean: I was looking up the verb "Desplazar". The first definition they give is:

  1. to move (trasladar)(a to)

desplazar algo/a alguien de - to remove somebody/something from

I assume from the above that "algo/a" implies there is a feminine form for "algo", which as far as I can find, there is none. Has anyone else noticed this? I was hesitant to post this but this has been bothering me for some time and I've noticed it in looking up other words too. If I'm wrong about this can somebody set me straight? I apologize if I'm wrong about this.

This is a thoughtful question asked respectfully, Becket. I don't have the answer, but will watch with you to find out. :) - Findy, Oct 28, 2014

Hi! You're reading it wrong. It's "algo / a alguien" (not algo/alga).
i.e. Desplazar a alguien de su trabajo (dismiss somebody from his job).

I have looked this up in a few dictionaries and what I have found is only " algo" used in the masculine. Alga means seaweed. I hope this helps .Let me note that my Spanish is limited ,so wait for other responses.Buena suerte.
