Spanish view of Americans
I want to study abroad to Spain, and I am curious of the of Americans.

I have worked in 11 countries in my career, I will offer this. Be a "citizen of the world," be polite and treat everyone with respect, blend in as best you can, watch the ways of the people around you . Each country has its own pace, adapt to it. With these few things in mind you will do just fine. Enjoy your adventure.

Of course, you realize that "Americans" live from Canada to the tip of Chile. Are you talking about people from the US travelling?
If someone doesn't want to know you or dislikes you just because of your nationality, then perhaps you should avoid that person anyway. In my experience as a foreigner traveling in Continental Europe, reaction is mixed. (Very) occasionally when I lived in France some idiot would make an anti-British remark directed at me, but I always managed to silence them by giving them a mouthful of my mind in their own language (which they never expected).
If you're interested enough in another people's culture and language to make the effort to live in their country & try & learn their language, the vast majority of them will respect this & welcome you warmly.

I have been a lot of places. I have found that you make an EFFORT, smile, make eye contact, it goes a lot way. Don't just EXPECT people to talk to you in English.
I was on a train in Ukraine, a first class car, that holds like 6 people. The train waitress would come in and talk very fast, I had no idea, what she wanted. finally when the car cleared out of the old people, that lady across from me just translated what the Waitress said. she could talk to me all along in english, but did not, because she felt it was not her place in front of the older people. ( very well mannored ). We talked for the next 30 minutes, until the train stopped.

That is a "strange" question. As happens in the US, each person has is own point of view. Some people hate the american way of life or its way to rule the world, but other people loves all things related with the US.
Nobody can give you the spanish global opinion about the US because it doesn't exist....
