Hello and welcome to the forum

Hmm

Y is the 25th letter

in 2x + y= 8 and 2x-y=0, y=4

And in Spanish numbers, y is used in the between the 10 digit and the 1 digit, if the 10 is between 3 and 9- ie in 31-99, 131-199, 231-299, etc.
