Skipping letters when typing answers on threads?

Question

I have been trying to write answers to some of the threads, but there is a problem with skipping letters as I type. Any suggestions? This happened months ago but got better. But alas, it's back.

I have had this happen when there is a crumb in the keyboard (I don't eat over my keyboard very often). Haven't had any problems lately, but I've been using Adblock for ages. I can't tolerate moving/flashing ads - with epilepsy I don't take any chances. - Findy, Oct 18, 2014

Part of the problem is the ads loading, which distracts it- It is somewhat better for me since I added ad block plus.

The other trick is wait a few seconds for the page to fully load before typing anything.

Not perfect, but it helps.

I added it today to GoogleChrome and it has blocked 17 ads since I signed in a few minutes ago. Thanks for the tip! - Jubilado, Oct 17, 2014

Since SD Legends - Katydew, Bosque. and rac1 have computer problems - I checked around to see if other notables might struggle sometimes as well...

Although not currently experiencing this - I have often had (frustrating) trouble like Katy's in the past. Whenever it gets bad- I resort to typing in a word document, and then cutting and pasting to comment or answer. Recently(past 10 days) I've had more difficulty doing flash card sets.

Bosque's comments are right on...and I appreciate rac1's remarks and her (nearly) ever present vigilance moderating/assisting on the forum. : - )

I have been out most of the day. I didn't have any problems this morning and so far all seems to be ok for me. I'm sorry this is happening to you again, Katy. I know it's frustrating. I'm not sure what is causing it, but I will send something to the technicians and see if they have any ideas.
