I've been studying the 8 irregular tú commands...

To say "Do it" would I use Hazlo or Hazselo? To say "Tell me it" would I use Diselo or Disemelo?

My teacher said we don't use hazselo, but she doesn't know why.

Answer: Hazlo.

To say "Tell me it" would I use Diselo or Disemelo?

Answer: Neither. It's dímelo

• Hazlo = Haz (Do) + lo (it)
• Házselo = Haz (Do) + se (him/her) + lo (it)
• Dilo = Di (tell) + lo (it).
• Dímelo = Di (tell) + me (me) + lo (it).
• Disemelo

I agree that Házselo is in fact correct, but it is rarely used. There is a difference of opinion of its difficulty of pronunciaton with the difficulty being simply because we never say it. (I can´t ever remember saying it one time in my life). "Házlo a él/ella" is certainly much more common to say.

Dígamelo (Ud.) Dímelo (tú)

Házselo appears to be correct for do it for him/her- haz= do, se replaces le= for him/her, and lo is it

Hazlo is do it.

Apparently many native speakers just simply prefer to leave out the se- see this thread:

Estoy de acuerdo con Chileno en que hazlo es correcto, pero le falta el pronombre de complemento indirecto se que DrJeffersonWilson incluye en su pregunta. Los enclíticos agrupados no son un caso particularmente fácil ni para los nativos del castellano. Házselo es perfectamente correcto. En América y las zonas seseantes de España se pronuncia normalmente /'as:elo/, pero en la pronunciación esmerada de las zonas diferenciadoras de España de pronuncia/'a?selo/.

The other question:

For tell me it, tell it to me= Dímelo, di=tell, me= to me, lo= it. There is no cause for a se in that sentence.

To ' Do it!' is simply ' ¡Hazlo!. The rest is to do it to somebody else, as far as I can see. I have never heard ' hazselo'.

Tell me it ( bad English : Please tell me sounds better) ' Dímelo.' or Cuéntamelo.

But what you hear is usually : 'Cuéntame'
