I was wondering how to say in spanish, 'I was late because the bus broke down and i had to wait for another' Is the following translation correct... Llegué tarde porque el autobús rompió y tuve que esperar para otro'

El autobús tuvo una avería y por eso llegué con retraso. Tuve que esperar otro autobús. Lo siento.
