Hola, Woajiaorober:

It made me feel warm in my heart to see you once agaion in the forum. I could not resist, this time, the urge to reply. Here is my attempt.

Moe’s Commentary:
Are the people of Israel in the desert with a destination or are they wandering aimlessly? If they have a purpose or destination then I would use the word “trek” and not the word “roam”.

Moe’s Translation/Interpretation
"They trek the burning desert in bare feet…Pleading anxiously and silently for a word or guidance , for which they have an urgent yearning."

Below are some definitions I based my interpretation upon. I hope others feel I got close to the spirit and intent of what the author wrote.

Selected Definitions: from el Diccionario Real Academia Española
Clamando - 3. intr. Quejarse, dar voces lastimosas, pidiendo favor o ayuda.
...........................(Complain, give pitiful voices, asking for favour or aid)
Sediente --- 1. adj. desus. Que tiene sed.
...........................(That is thirsty) and also see “sed”
Sed ----------- 3. f. Apetito o deseo ardiente de algo.
........................... (Appetite or burning desire for something)
Ansia --------- 2. f. Angustia o aflicción del ánimo.
..............................(Anxiety, distress or affliction of the mind)
Sorda ----------- 2. adj. Callado, silencioso y sin ruido.
.................................(Silent, silent and without noise)

As always, Woajiaorober, I send you my very best personal wishes in all that you do.

Best personal regards,
Moe.

Very nice interpretation (and great job on maintaining the spirit of the original). I would humbly suggest "They trek the burning desert barefooted" and maybe "for which they yearn earnestly". Not that the words you have used are incorrect or anything. - Helado_eclectico, Sep 23, 2014
Nice, didn' read it before making my own effort, yours is better, yearing is a nice word.. - annierats, Sep 23, 2014
@Helado-I like your comments. They made me think. On reflection, I might have said "Barefoot, they trek the burning desert" and "Pleading anxiously and silently while earnestly yearning for some word or guidance". ¿2nd thoughts?. - Moe, Sep 23, 2014

Crying out with blind longings, word and guide, which is thirsting...

- 0021241a, Sep 23, 2014

it mainly depends on the person but i would interpret it as somone who is starving to make a tear inducing painting

Crying/shouting with voiceless longings ( ok, makes no sense, but I think that is the poet's choice, sort of suffering greatly but in silence..)
